Our Story
Jeevdayamai Foundation was founded in 2020 by Mr. Karan Goswami during the COVID-19 pandemic — a time when millions of vulnerable people were left without food, shelter, or support.
What started as a neighbourhood effort to feed the hungry during lockdown rapidly grew into a structured organisation. Witnessing the suffering of elderly homeless individuals, street children, and underprivileged families inspired Mr. Goswami to formalise these efforts and build a foundation that would create lasting change. Today, Jeevdayamai Foundation runs multiple programs spanning food security, education, healthcare, senior care, and women empowerment — all from its base in Geeta Colony, Delhi.
The Visionary Behind the Foundation
Mr. Karan Goswami is a social entrepreneur and humanitarian based in Delhi. Deeply moved by the suffering he witnessed during the COVID-19 pandemic — particularly that of the elderly, street children, and underprivileged families — he took the initiative to found Jeevdayamai Foundation in 2020.
With a belief that "our reality is a dream for them," Mr. Goswami has dedicated himself to building systems that provide not just immediate relief, but long-term dignity and opportunity to those who need it most. Under his leadership, the Foundation has grown from a small local effort into a recognized organisation impacting thousands of lives across Delhi.
